Our Pick Your Own Apple Season begins today and runs until October 7th or until we are picked out. Picking hours are 9:00am – 4:00pm daily. All bags are sold in our store. You have a choice of a peck or a 1/2 bushel bag. We will make recommendations as to what apples are best for picking at the time of your visit and where to find them in our orchards. If there is a particular variety you are looking for…please feel free to call and see what we are recommending for that day.
As always, our store is filled with all the delicious treats of the season: apple cider donuts, caramel apples and fresh fruit pies to name a few! Our lunch counter is opened daily from 11:00am – 3:00pm and we offer a small breakfast on the weekends.
JUST A LITTLE FYI: It has been an interesting year due to early warm spell we had back in March. This caused our trees to start their growing process earlier than normal resulting in a earlier than usual harvest. We strongly urge all our customers to plan their apple picking trip sooner rather than later this year. Everything is roughly 2 weeks early, so you should plan on things being “over” as far as apples go, at least 2 weeks early as well. Our recommendation would be don’t wait until October to come pick apples; as they may not be available. We would hate to have you miss out on a family tradition of picking. Our Pick Your Own Pumpkins will begin on September 29, 2012 through October 28, 2012; running on the weekends only. We have a great pumpkin crop this year that we are quite excited about.
*AS ALWAYS NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED IN OUR ORCHARDS OR FIELDS. PLEASE MAKE OTHER PLANS FOR YOUR FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS WHEN VISITING OUR FARM.

We are pleased to announce that our Pick Your Own Blueberries Season is open! The berries are ripe and oh so sweet! Our patch is open from 9:00am -4:00pm Wednesday thru Monday. (We are closed Tuesdays.) Blueberry picking is a great activity for the family! We are a short 35 minute ride from Boston; a perfect excuse for getting out of the city for the afternoon.
We supply the containers for picking in our store. Pick Your Own Blueberries is $2.99 lb. A great price to stock up your freezer or for snacking!

Here at Westward Orchards we are known for our fruit. Our apples, peaches and blueberries are some of our biggest sellers at our store. Some of you may or may not know, but last year we experimented with tomatoes and melons…and we found that we really enjoyed working in the soil as well as the quick return for all our hard work. This year we decided to branch out and grow more varieties of vegetables. Which leads us into our big announcement…
Westward Orchards will be offering a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program. Our 20-week program will offer you fresh Westward Orchards grown fruit and vegetables throughout the summer, fall and early winter.
A CSA is a program designed to help farms sell their crops in advance. This program benefits not only the farmer but the shareholder as well. The program allows you the shareholder to form a connection with the farm that is growing your fruits and vegetables. In most circumstances shareholders receive a better value for their money than they initially invested. You are guaranteed the freshest, best tasting and nutrient packed produce available; allowing you to experience the joys of eating fresh, healthy food on a weekly basis.
