One of the best cooking apples grown.   Good eating when ripe.
      Available: late July to mid August
McIntosh
     
A seedling, crisp, juicy and excellent for snacks. Favorite for eating, good for cooking, especially sauce.
      Available: mid September
Cortland (McIntosh x Ben Davis)
     
Good eating and cooking.   Excellent for salads and baked apples.  A non-acid apple which remains white a long time after cutting.

Empire (McIntosh x Red Delicious)
      Crispy, juicy, good for snacks and cooking. (sauces and pies)
      Available: late September
Jonagold (Jonathan x Golden Delicious)
      Slightly tart to sweet.  Crispy and juicy.   Excellent for eating and cooking.
      Available : mid to late September
Golden Delicious
      W. Virginia seedling.  Fine eating - firm, crisp and juicy.  Good for pies and sauce, and also nice in cider.

Red Delicious
      Iowa seedling.  Favorite for eating.   Hard, sweet and very aromatic.
      Available: mid to late September
Macoun (McIntosh x Jersey Black)
      Superior eating and cooking.  Sweet, aromatic, crisp and juicy.  A good pie apple.
      Available: October - November
Baldwin
      Wilmington Mass. seedling.  Best for cooking because of their hardness they hold shape well when cooked.  Has a spice character which makes it good for pies and cider.

Roxbury Russets
      Developed in Roxbury in the early 1600's.  A crisp, tart apple that is good for eating and cooking.  It has a reputation as a fine cider apple.
      Available: October
Spartan (McIntosh x Newton Pippers)
      Firm, crisp with a snow white flesh.  Brisk in flavor and aroma.  Not recommended for cooking.
      Available : early to mid October - pick your own only.
Golden Russet
      Sprouted from the seed of the English Russet in the 1800's.  The yellow flesh is crisp, sweet and flavorful.  A traditional favorite for hard cider.  Good for cooking and drying.
      Available: October
Jersey Mac
      Slightly tart, good for cooking and eating.
      Available: mid to late July
Paulared
     A medium size, deep red apple with a crisp, firm texture and mildly tart flavor.  Offers good eating and cooking qualities.
      Available: late July - August
